LIN bus communication enables intelligent heating concepts

Communication-capable “Smart Heating” heating devices need digital data from their integrated components. This not only includes sensors, but also blowers and circulation pumps. However, it is precisely the communication within heating devices that has to be inexpensive, lean and safe from interference. Analog signals and complex bus systems are unsuitable here.

LIN bus communication based on the device-internal VDMA LIN circulating pump profile (VLCP) enables device manufacturers to develop multi-layered, intelligent concepts for future heating devices that use the pump as a source of information and a flexible actuator. It offers the heating engineer additional advantages for integration into "Smart Heating" concepts with more communication data that can be used for system analysis and optimization and simplify customer service.
